- Iguedo Somewhere in Okonkwo's village
- I'm not like my father, Unoka, a coward, always with his music.
- Tomorrow everybody needs to be at the markert early in the morning, something had happen!!!!
- What's going on Ogbuefi Ezeugo?
- What? we will not tolerate such things!!!
- Someone from Mbaino village kills the wife of one of the Umuofia tribesman....
- I'm goin to tell this to Okonkwo
- ...then the fearless Okonkwo travel to Mbaino
- You're going to give a virgin and a young boy to Umuofia, and if you refuse this is war!!!
- The elders decided to give the virgin to Ogbuefi Udo, and the kid to Okonkwo.
- Wife your going to take care of this child, his name is Ikemefuna!!!
- Okonkwo fears weakness, he is extremely demanding of his family, hating lazy people... like his son Nwoye.
- Don't be lazy, let's go to work!
- I'm so wealthy, I plant yams, I had my own farm. I'm not a looser like my father!!!
- Ikemefuna became like a big brother to Nwoye. Okonkwo became fond to that kid, but doing so was a sign of weakness.

- As a punishment you will sacrifice a goat and a hen and pay a fine of one length of cloth and one hundred cowries!
- Then all the priest got together...
- Dear fellows I think we have to discuss the punishments during the week of peace, they have become mild...

- Ikemefuna and Nwoye you can do better!!! So you can both be a greater man and a farmer!
- After the week of peace, the villagers begin to clear the land in preparation for planting the farms...

- Ikemefuna and Nwoye, and very proud of the man you bith have become!
- What is going now Ogbuefi Ezeudu?
- The oracle has decreeed that Ikemefuna must be killed!
- Ikemefuna you must return to your village...
- The Next day he start walking to his village, and while thinking about his mother ...
- Okonkwo HELP!
- But nobody help him and the boy die., Okonkwo did it, to not look weak!
- Okonkwo sinks into depression, he feels weak, and he cannot sleep or eat.
