Mild case of Depression

Storyboard Text

  • Hey, Mom (1)
  • Something doesn't feel right mom, I don't feel like myself. I have this constant feeling of being sad and I have lost energy to do things. (3)
  • Sounds like we need to take you to the doctor and see what they say. (4)
  • Hey, Kiddo, why are you sad? (2)
  • I feel very tired and drained. I don't have energy to do anything. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and I don't have the energy to do it anymore. Recently I have been feeling like I have no purpose in life. I feel like out of it most of the time, I can't focus on things people are saying. I noticed I have been sleeping a lot more, I also don't feel happy. My friends are one of the very few people who make me happy and I haven't really been able to see them because of isolation. I don't understand what's wrong with me doc. (2)
  • I think I have a general idea, But I don't want to diagnose you until I know for sure. We will have to do more tests to find out for sure. (3)
  • Hey Kiddo, your Mom has brought you in cause she is concerned. Can you tell me about how you have been feeling recently? (1)
  • The tests came back. It looks like you may have a mild case of depression. We have been seeing this a lot since COVID-19 has been introduced. So we have prescribed you with an SSRI. These are safer and cause fewer side effects than other anti- depresssants. The instructions are on the back of the bottle. If things get worse, please come back. (1)
  • Thank You!! (2)
