- February 6, 2007 I wished for a brother for my birthay
- When I told my parents that I wanted a baby brother, they agreed!
- Great Idea!

- When our family decided to adopt a baby, my parents had to enroll in foster-adopt classes
- Some families travel around the world to find an addition to their family, but little do they know there are children in their own town that need a family
- Then, on the night of December 21, 2009 a baby boy named Christopher was born
- Christopher Mestas Born at 4:37 am at Parkview Hospital, Pueblo Colorado 7 lbs 10 oz.
- January 8, 2010
- Hi Darcy, We have a healthy baby boy that was born a few days ago. He needs a foster home until he can get adopted. Can we bring him to you?
- Of course! Come over!
- Darcy:
- My mom sent my dad and I to the store to buy baby items. It was the best shopping trip ever!

- I want to hold him first!
- Dad, I wonder what he looks like!
- On the car ride home I was so exicted to get home to meet baby Christopher
- Where is he sleeping?
- My whole family was so happy! We felt so lucky to have been blessed with this opportunity of caring for Christopher
- Once Christopher was adopted, he got a new birth certificate with his new last name
- Ugh mom!
- The next day, my family was so busy enjoying the baby, my mom forgot to pick me up from school
- But I don't blame her, he was too cute!
- He is so adorable!
- Can I hold him next?
- What a special boy!

- But some things don't last forever, Chistopher went to go live with his aunt after 1 month with my family
- My family was devastated, it felt like our family was ripped apart

- Hi Darcy, Christopher needs a home again, but this time a forever home. Can we bring him to you?
- Oh my! Our prayers have been answer! Yes! Come over!
