Storyboard Text

  • I wish you and dad didn't get divorced.
  • A hatchet? Gee, mom... thanks, I guess.
  • Brian, I got you a present for your trip.
  • I don't feel well...
  • I can't believe my mom is going out with someone else besides my dad! I can't wait to get to Dad's house.
  • Ugh every bone in my body is killing me, it hurts to walk.
  • This might be a great place for shelter.
  • Brian is on his way to the airport to visit his dad in the Canadian wilderness. He is wondering if he should tell his father about the "secret".
  • I am so hungry I can eat all the cherries at once!
  • On the way to his dad's house the pilot has a heart attack and dies. Brian has to fly the plane on his own with the tips he learned from the pilot.
  • I feel like I am going to die!!!!!
  • The plane crashes in a lake and Brian manages to unbuckle his seat belt and swim to land with nothing but his hatchet.
  • Ughhhh I am going to KILL that porcupine!!!!!!!
  • Brian finds a stone ridge he can use for shelter. He uses the hatchet to cut down some branches to build a wall.
  •
  • After following birds to the bushes, Brian finds cherries and starts to eat them quickly because he is super hungry.
  • COME BACK, OVER HERE, DON'T LEAVE MEEEEEEEEE ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • After eating too many gut cherries, Brian was throwing up and having stomach aches and pains.
  • "FIRST MEAT"
  •
  • When Brian throws the hatchet at the porcupine he hits the cave wall and a spark comes out of nowhere.
  • Brian realizes he can use the spark to start a fire. At the same time he thinks about his mother seeing the man with the blonde hair and gets super angry.
  • Are you kidding me right now?!?!?!
  • Brian misses the rescue plane because he didn't get the signal fire lit in time. He becomes so depressed he tries to kill himself that night. The next morning he wakes up a changed person and thinks of himself as a survivor.
  • Brian makes a bow and arrow to catch fish and a spear to hunt fool birds and rabbits. He knows he can survive in the wild for as long as he needs to.
  • A moose attack badly injures Brian and he almost dies due to the injuries to his ribs.
  • Oh no I am getting attacked, ouch that hurts!!!!!!!!
  • While Brian was sleeping after the moose attack, a tornado touches down, rips his shelter apart and destroys his fire and food supply. He has to start over but he is a survivor.
  • I bet I can get the survival pack from the plane.
  • I hope there's some food in there
  • This isn't working but at least I have food!
  • I can't believe I found you. I picked up your signal from the radio transmitter.
  • Are you hungry?
  • The tail of the plane is now visible after the storm.
  • Brian uses his hatchet to make a raft. He'll use this to help tow the survival pack if he can find it.
  • Brian gets the survival pack. It contains a sleeping bag, food, eating utensils, a gun and a radio transmitter. After turning the transmitter on and off he tosses it to the side because it doesn't seem to work.
  • Brian is rescued after 54 days in the wilderness with nothing but a hatchet. He learned to survive on his own.
