- A war that was fought between Britain and France to win control over America. It was called the seven year war, even though it lasted for nine years. In 1763, England won the battle. This war costed a lot of money to England.
- Boston Tea Party 1773
- No more tea!!!
- The Stamp Act forced Colonists to buy only government stamps! The Stamp Act was very unfair. Colonists hated it. In fact, they wanted to get rid of it. Eventually, the Colonists got their wish. It went away in 1766.
- Declaration of Independence 1776
- The Tea Act was when colonists had to pay lots of taxes for tea to the British. The colonists objected to 'taxes without representation'. They got rid of it which is known as the Boston Tea Party in 1773.
- Crossing the Delaware 1776

- The Boston Tea Party is when the Sons of Liberty pretended to be American Indians who were boarding a ship with tea inside. Then they dumped 342 whole chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. The British were furious! It united the colonies against Britain.
- The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson on July 4, 1766. It had four parts: Why was it written, beliefs about the government, complaints about King George III, and it wrote that they needed independence from Britain.

- George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River went from December 25-26. They crossed it because George Washington and his crew were planning a surprise attack on the British. George Washington used a collection of cargo boats to get all of his men across the Delaware.
