- The Flight of IcarusBy Sally Benson
- Exposition: There were two men called Icarus and Daedalus father and son and they were trying to escape the castle and the whole land
- Rising action: Daedalus had an idea to escape the castle. He wanted to make wings to fly away from the land. So they make wings out of wax and the feathers around the place.
- I'll make wings out of wax so we can escape this horrific land.
- Rising action: They finally made the wings out of those materials. Then Daedalus told him to not fly to high or low just perfect so the wings wont fall off or melt off the wax.
- Remember if you fly to high the sun will melt the wax on the wings, and if you go to low the water will splash on your wings and get the wax wet., so fly just right.
- Climax: They took off escaping the land. But then Icarus told him that was to high. Suddenly the wings were melting.
- Falling action: Then Icarus started falling to the ground to his death then Daedalus tried to catch him but he was to late.
- NOOOO!
- Resolution: After the loss of his son Icarus, Daedalus managed to reach Camicus or Cumae in Sicily, the kingdom of Cocalus, on his own. ... He knew that the wise Daedalus would find a way to cover his tracks, so he had to think up a way to flush him out of his hiding-place.
