Oh hey, I forgot to tell you about the funny thing that happened. Yesterday Cody tried answering this math problem, "63x+59=108" But just ended up getting a whole different answer.
Cody always gets the wrong answer haha. But how do you solve that, I never learned it.
That's right, you haven't learned 2-step equations yet. It's something we learned in class yesterday.
Do you think you can teach me?
Sure man, anything for you. It's quite simple, I'm sure you'll get it quick.
So first, we are going to look at the numbers that are next to the x-values. Numbers without the x sign, are not supposed to be next to numbers WITH the x symbol.
Now that you know that rule, we shall apply it to the example that Cody failed to do. 62x-59=65, we must move 59 to the other side, next to 108. To do that, we must add 59 from both sides. 65+59 would be 124. Our equation would look like this now, 62x=124
hahah
Now the last step, once you get one number with and without x, divide the number without x by the one with x. In our example, we must divide 124 by 62 to get 2.
And that's how Cody failed at math!
