Storyboard Text
The Winged-Mice lived in green, grassy areas. They live near bodies of water so the could gather fish to eat.
The Winged-Mice have fur that is darker in color, usually a light/dark grey or black.
The mountains had a "leeward and windward" affect that caused one side to be snowy and the other to be mild temperature and grassy.
A mountain formed and some of the dark colored Winged-Mice got blown away to one side of the mountain, while others remained on the grassy side.
When the Winged-Mice got blown to the other side of the mountain, they had trouble surviving.
The darker furred Winged-Mice are easier to spot, but the mice with the lighter colored fur can hide better from predators
Over time, the Winged-Mice developed longer horns to pierce the frozen water to catch fish to eat.
The light grey Winged-Mice evolved to have thicker whiter fur to better camouflage in the snow to hide from predators.
Their wings grew bigger to better fly through the cold temperatures.
As the mice on one side of the mountain grow and change, the mice on the grassier side remain the same.
Since the population of mice on the snowy side of the mountain have evolved so much, when the populations meet they can't reproduce.
