- The teacher welcomes her students at the door by shaking their hands and introduces herself individually to each student with a nice smile on her face.
- Good morning dear 2nd graders! My name is Mrs.Qattawi, I am so happy and exited to have you in my class this year.
- Dear students, welcome to 2nd grade. It's a great time now to get to know each other!!!Please tell us your name and what you would like us to know about you!!
- After the students find their assigned seats, the teacher will welcome them again and explains that they are now a community of 2nd graders that have to know each other well. She will then ask the students to stand and introduce themselves.
- The teacher will thank the students for introducing themselves, then she will show them around the classroom.
- Great job dear 2nd graders and thanks for sharing your hobbies and interests! Now let me show you around the classroom and where will you find everything.
- After the students introduce themselves and learned about the classroom, the teacher will ask them to help her brain storm the classroom rules and expectations.
- Dear students! I would like you to help me write some rules for the classroom! Here is how *Students will suggest rules. *students will vote on the rules. *Students will write the rules on a poster. *the poster will be called"The Class Constitution".
- The teacher will take suggestions from the students,then will have them vote on the rules. The students will write the constitution on a poster and they all will sign their names on it.
- Room 6 Constitution. *Respect each other. *Be on time. *Listen when others are talking. *Follow directions. *Keep your hands and feet to yourself. *Raise hands before speaking.
- Back to school night is the best apportunity to meet the parents,explain the curriculum and talk about the expectations of following the class constitutions. Also it is a great time to encourage the parents to always communicate with her about any concerns and to be involved in class.
- Dear parents! Welcome to our 2nd grade community. My name is Mrs.Qattawi, I will be on 180 days adventure with your children. I can't wait!!
