- Hi! My name is Paul and I was one of Jesus' apostles. Today, I will be taking you through my perspective of the early Church.
- I will be sharing my experience of its development and my role in growing the faith!

- It all began with the Paschal Mystery. First, Jesus was condemned by Jewish leaders and arrested by Roman soldiers in the Garden of Gethsemane.
- Slide: 3
- Then, Jesus died for our redemption on the cross, as both true God and true man, saving us from the fires of Hell and bringing about our salvation.
- This is how Jesus established Core Christian Beliefs.

- Finally, after Jesus was buried, he rose again on the third day, in accordance with the scriptures.

- Jesus then came to me and the other apostles, granting us the authority of the Church, saying:
- "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" Matthew 28:19
- Forty days after His Resurrection, he ascended into Heaven, completing the Paschal Mystery and establishing the promise of his return.

- So, the other apostles and I ascended on our journey.

- We evangelized, as we spread the Good News and shared Jesus' story, explaining what his sacrifice meant for every person.

- That's when I set off to the Mediterranean region to preach about to Lord.
- Slide: 9
- When problems arose in the Christian communities, I wrote letters to help encourage and grant theological insight to the early followers of the Church.
- I wrote the first books of the New Testament!

- Sadly, I was later taken in by Roman soldiers and beheaded in 67 A.D., becoming a martyr of my faith.
- But I am eternally grateful that I helped spread the Good News about the Lord and watched early Christians begin to live out their faith.
