- Embalming was important to the ancient Egyptians because they believed that if the body decayed, the soul would be vessile-less and therefore would not be able to go to the afterlife

- The first step of embalming was to take out of the organs except the heart and clean the body. After that they put the remaining innards into jars.
- The second and last step in embalming was to cover the body the body in salt and dipthe entire body in liquid tree sap. Then they rapped the body in 40 yards of linen strips.

- it takes about 400 yards of linen to wrap a mummy
- on average there are about 10 yards of toilet paper in a roll

- The tombs were located in ancient Egypt. The actual tomb was located in the underground of a pyramid.
- The tomb was 80 feet underground. Inside the tomb was a human shaped coffin, everyday objects around the person, and engraved hieroglyphics on the walls.
