The story takes place at Athens, Greece and in the setting, there is prosperity, love, anxiousness and rebellion in the air.
Climax
Theseus and Hippolyta, a noble and a wealthy being are preparing and discussing for their upcoming wedding. Hermia and Lysander are in love with each other, but another man named Demetrius loves Hermia too and the other woman named Helena is all alone.
Falling Action
In the woods, there is a fairy named Puck who tries to solve the love triangle of Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius, but the fairy accidentally makes Lysander fall in love with Helena instead of Hermia. While trying to fix the problem, the fairy makes Demetrius fall for her too, and noweveryone loves Helena and no one loves Hermia.
Denouement
The men were fighting over Helena, and Hermia is mad at Helena, so the fairy Puck manages to separate them all for fighting so it'll not lead to killing each other. Once they all fell asleep, the fairy reverses the spell and rights his wrongs.
While the duke is riding a horse, he comes upon the lovers in the forest. After hearing their problem, th duke was confused and thenhe invites them to be married during his own wedding ceremony.
At the end of the story, everyone is married. "Pyramus and Thisbe" is performed and the fairy ends the play by asking the audience to remember it all as if it was just a dream.
