Storyboard Text

  • One Sunny Afternoon...
  • Ahhh, yes, prince charming. I have made my decision. I hereby declare you as king of Aragon from now on.
  • Yes your majesty?
  • What!!!! No way!
  • ZZZ..ZZZZ...Z
  • If I can't have it, then he can't have it
  • At  gold's melting point, which is 1064 degrees Celsius the crown melts down to a liquid. This is when all the particles start to move faster and then the gold starts to take the shape of the pot.
  • Muah ha ha ha ha! Now, ha ha it will become a liquid and then a gas and go into the air!!!! Ha ha  ha ha
  • Meanwhile...
  • Ahhhhhh! Where's my crown????
  • Noooo!!!
  • At gold's boiling point which is 2970 degrees Celsius the gold will become a gas and then the particles will move very fast and merge in with the particles in the atmosphere. In the liquid stage, the gold has a definite volume but not a definite shape. When the gold turns into a gas it does not have a definite shape or definite volume
  • Welcome, welcome. Now your dear crown has been melted down to a liquid. And now, all that is to happen is it turning into a gas so you can never get it back after that. Muah hahahaha!
  • Well, guess there's no point in weeping now. I'd better get another one made.
  • At the local goldsmiths...
  • To speed up the process of electroplating I will increase the temperature and stir the solution
  • Okay, I will melt the gold 18/24 parts and then electroplate it with 6/24 parts rhodium as the solute.
  • I wan't a 18 karat gold crown.
  • Okay.
  • 18K gold
  • Now, it's time to put both the rhodium plating and gold together. I am going to increase the temperature and stir the solute (rhodium) with the solvent (gold)
  • Rhodium Plating
  • Everything is good now! I got a new crown and now I'm the new king of Aragon!
