  • During the Industrial Revolution, children were oftenly chosen over men or woman. This is because of a few different reasons. One, they were very easily controllable and submissive. They listened to what they were told without question. Another reason was because they could get paid more without complaint from anyone really, and usually, they really needed the money for things such as supporting their families or buying themselves things, which is something they barely were able to do during this time.
  • Little-no education.
  • I have to do this, for papa, he's sick, i need the money. I need it.
  • There was extremely dirty enviroments everywhere. Trashy floors, warm rooms (Usually overheating to the point of exhaustion). Very close enviroments to others with little-no room to move. The work they had to do as kids was also extremely disgusting and unsanitary for them. The floors were filled withh dirt and the kids were also usually wearing disgusting and unsanitary clothing since they couldn't afford anything more/better.

  • Disease often spread widly around these types of factory's, this is because every single window had to be shut and inside the building had to be filled with machinary, forcing the kids to work close together. If one child was sick, it would instintly spread around to every other kid. Although they also became sick from the dirty enviroment, poverty struck, poor meals and neverending work. There were many types of deseases, a few being-nemia, gastrointestinal tract infections, low vitamin intake, respiratory tract infections, skin diseases and high amounts of malnutrition. And many, many more.
  • Effects on the children.
  • Leave me alone... My hand, it hurts, please can everyone go away.
  • DONT TOUCH ME!!! GO AWAY
  • Many kids had to work so many hours they barely had any time for fun- or to get an education. Insead, anytime they did get free time, they usually spent it on family instead of time to learn. This is why later on they passed a law MAKING it so children had to get a certain amount of school hours. This however, at first, didn't stop work hours from being to long and conditions to terrible. Instead, it took away time for family and freetime. The children would be loaded with work and school.
  • I wanna learn, ans go to school like everybody else!!
  • The reason many childre weren stuck with working in textile factories and harsh, small paying jobs were because their families needed it. Most, if not all, children didn't willingly want to work in such factories, instead they did it because they had to in order to make a little extra money for their parents. Many parents worried about their kids health but couldn't do anything to fix it so, they didn't. And that's how many deaths were caused in the 1900's. Most of the time, the jobs didn't help at all, and the fact they were working was useless and they had no reason to. Yet they still couldn't stop.
  • Kids heath and how they acted deeply depended on how they were treated in the factory. Many children were hurt- some physically and others mentally. Some kids might give up and become hopeless, and not even care anymore. Others may become angry and oftenly lash out on others. and lastly, they might hate other people and just their lives and become closed off. Even with these effects, nothing changed and many children died, from some facotry malfunctions, accidents, or even themselves.
  • GET UP AND GE6T TO WORK SON! WE NEED MONEY/. COME ON.
