- Hi Christian. Have you been watching the 'Tour De France'?
- Sure. Let's meet at the town square at 10:00.
- Yes I have. It has made me want to get back on the bike. Do you want to go for a ride tomorrow?
- We never have to back home in Zurich.
- Good morning Hans, why are you not wearing a helmet?
- Well we're in Sydney now and need to adhere to their road rules.
- You would have to be unlucky to get caught.
- I'm not going to sit around arguing with you. Let's just ride.
- It's about a $320 fine for not wearing a helmet while cycling. We're backpackers, I don't think we can afford that.
- Ouch! My head hurts!
- Hans and Christian from Switzerland are having lunch at a cafe in Sydney, when they discuss going for a bike ride tomorrow.
- I wish I had worn a helmet.
- I told you so!
- The next day, Hans and Christian meet at the town square ready to go for their ride.
- Hey Christian, why are we riding in the bus only lane?
- I hope he's right.
- The bicycle lane is too crowded. It won't matter if we ride here.
- The conversation continues.
- You have got to be kidding!
- You have been fined $320 for not wearing a helmet and also $320 for riding in a bus only lane.
- Hans falls off his bike and lands on his head.
- Oh well. We better stick to watching cycling.
- Christian has no sympathy for Hans although he fell off his bike
- They continue riding in the bus only lane instead of the bicycle lane. Hans doesn't think they should but Christian is sure of it.
- Hans and Christian were pulled over by a police officer for not wearing a helmet and riding in a bus only lane.
- Hans and Christian are once again having lunch at a cafe. They decide to not go for any more bike rides after their last experience.
