- Professor, I feel like every class is the same. We should try something new!
- The professor is worried because he feels that his students are not interested in his geology lesson on rocks.
- I have an idea! What if we took a class field trip!?
- Good morning class! It seems as if everyone has been super un-interested in what we are learning. Why is that?
- The professor considers his students idea and decides a field trip could help engage his students.
- You know, that is actually a great idea! I will put on canvas a list of places and dates for potential field trips. You can sign up for what works best for you!
- This sounds so fun! Maybe I can use this as an opportunity to get closer with my peers and professor!
- The professor is having one of his one on one meetings with his students and getting to know him better. The student is happy to finally be able to talk to his teacher and get to know him better as well as share stuff about himself.
- I can't wait to learn more about rocks and become close with professor!
- Hello class! I am so excited you guys decided to come on the first trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!
- Thanks for taking us on this trip Professor! I was actually excited to come to school today!
- The professor takes his students on the first field trip! He got about a third of the class to sign up and all of his students are super excited!
- Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains! I hope you guys enjoy out trip and take notes along the way!
- This is so much better than sitting in class! I feel like this is the first time we've all gotten to hang out!
- The class arrives at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. All of the students are thrilled. The professor is going to take the students on a hike and collect rock samples.

- I'm excited to meet with my professor! I feel like I've never really gotten to talk to him!
- Now that we've made it up here, take a look at the rock you're standing on. Take pictures, notes, and everyone must come meet with me one on one before we go/
- The students start hiking and examining their surroundings. The professor tells each student that they need to meet with him one on one before they go. He does this in order to get to know his students better and see what they have learned.

- it's nice to finally talk to you ! I am just taking this class for fun, but I think it is super interesting and I learned a lot. I run track and I work at a restaurant outside of school.
