- Hey Terence and Annie I really enjoyed the LES module this year, what is that one crucial thing you have learned now that the year is coming to an end?
- I really enjoyed the online posting and participating in the formal debate as it has taught me how to debate in a formal manner.
- Mmm pretty much nothing there, the module was boring for me. What is it that you have learnt that is so excitng Kay?
- Well I have learnt how to paraphrase, in text referencing, citations and how to create a reference list in order to avoid plagiarism when it comes to academic writing .
- I could not agree with you more Kay, I have been writing my own book and referencing has been very helpful to me when I make use of other author's ideas and it helps in avoiding plagiarism .
- Ohh yeah those were kind of helpful but I still think it is something that we just learn on this module and it ends there.
- These skills will be very helpful when we pursue our postgraduate studies and when we're working as Economists because we will be required to draw up detailed reports sometimes and referencing will be a part of it.
- You are right Kay even though my mom is no longer in university and is currently working she does make use of referencing a lot as a lawyer. I guess what LES has taught us will be very helpful in our aspiring professions as BCOM students.
