Storyboard Text

  • Hazel and George are watching ballerinas. George has a radio in his head that buzzes when he questions the government authorities in his head.
  • Hazel is trying to convince George that he should take out the weights that the government put on him to make him less strong. George says that he shouldn't because it’s a year in jail for every ball he takes out.
  • When they show a picture of what Harrison looks like who has escaped jail. He is 7 feet tall, wears metal, and has big spectacles.
  • George comes back into the room with a beer, he sees hazel crying from the scenes that she’s seeing on the TV but then forgets when asked.
  • The ballerinas on the TV with masks on to hide their beauty.
  • In his story Harrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that we should not let governments take away our rights and we should accept people for who they are are not mask it. This story is anexaggerated version of what it would be like if people gave themselves up for thegovernment and were conformists.Kurt Vonnegut's main point in my view was to spread the idea of a more of a limitedgovernment and for people to embrace both their flaws andweaknesses.
