  • King George III makes a line between what land is the Colonists and what land is the Natives and doesn't allow the Colonists to cross.

  • The King and Parliament tax the colonists for all important papers. The colonists protest by rioting, burning stamps, and shutting down newspapers.
  • Boston Tea Party
  • The Quartering Act made it so that British soldiers can enter any colonist's house and live there without them having a say in it. The soldier has to be provided for by law, including food and a place to sleep.
  • Coercive Acts/Intolerable Acts
  • No more goods will come in Boston, nor will any leave here until the debt is repaid.
  • On March 5, 1770, a group of British soldiers shoot and kill five colonists after they threatened them.
  • The Sons of Liberty, dressed as Indians, sneak onto a cargo boat with about a million dollars worth of tea and dump it all into the harbor because they're angry about the tax on tea.

  • Because of the Boston Tea Party, the British lock down Boston, stopping all trade from the city, killing businesses. Along with this, they disband the Massachusetts government and shut down all the courts in Boston.
