- I'm so glad I won! Betty Williams ran a strong campaign, because she is a woman of incredible accomplishment, having dedicated her life to the cause of peace and justice, a Nobel laureate, and we were both running for the peace of America. I wish her the best and honor her commitment to a better future for us all whether President or not.

- Hey Father! I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and joy. You have blessed the people of the United States of America by guiding them to elect Jimmy Carter as President. I see Jimmy Carter as a man who shares my vision of a world without violence and hatred. He is a humble servant, a man of integrity and compassion. His leadership will inspire people to come together and work towards a common goal of creating a better world for all. However, just because Betty Williams lost the election does not mean Jimmy is superior. Betty is a shining example of the teachings of the beatitudes. She embodies the love and compassion that we have taught people to show one another. Her actions have inspired others to follow in her footsteps, and she has brought hope and light to people who have lost their way. Please bless them both in your name. Amen.
