- After being awoken by one of his fellow Samurai, 'The Hero' steps out of his home, where he is told that the village is being attacked by bandits, who are heading for his home.
- Losing a home
- After fighting through a few bandits, the two Samurai are confronted by an angry farmer, who berates them for not saving his house.
- Confronted by the Bandit leader
- The two later find themselves at a small body of water near the farm, where 'The hero's' friend breaks down into scared tears
- After the battle
- After escaping the village, the two Samurai watch helplessly as their village is burned to cinders.
- As the village burns, the two Samurai are approached by the bandit chief, who mocks them for their defeat.
- After a battle, the bandit chief is defeated and slain by the two Samurai, who learn from his dying breath that the demon king has taken the 'hero's sister and so the hero pledges to go on a quest to save her, parting ways with his friend.
