  • In the first scene, Ruth is telling Naomi how she will always be by her side. This is an example of how she trusts in God, and even though they have both lost their husbands they know that God will assist them no matter how hard it may be. In the second scene, God is inspiring Boaz to marry Ruth, even if she is not the same nationality. This is evidence of how he loves everyone equally no matter where they are from.
  • The Hut, Page 83
  • Its amazing how little some people own.
  • Rebellion, Page 153
  • In the poem The Hut, Engle visits a small rural house that is inhabited by poor people. Despite this, the residents are still able to own some very nice handmade things, as well as a horse. This example shows how God wants everyone to have at least something they can enjoy, whether they are rich or poor. In the poem Rebellion. Engle says that she wants to travel and begins babysitting to save money. This is a example of how immigrants who started from a low place can achieve great wealth through God's will.
