- Peter and other SERVINGMAN enter, carrying napkins. ( The men are trying to prepare the table)

- What’s all this, nephew? Why are you so furious?
- Enter CAPULET with CAPULET'S COUSIN , TYBALT , LADY CAPULET , JULIET , and others of the house, meeting ROMEO , BENVOLIO , MERCUTIO , and other GUESTS and MASKERS
- You kissed as if you’ve studied.
- Romeo speaks to the serving man trying to identify whom the beautiful lady is across the ballroom enriching the knight by letting him hold her hand

- Tybalt recongnises Romeo and Capulet advises him to calm down and leave him alone as he is a nice well-mannered boy
- Romeo approaches Juliet for the first time and they kiss.
- The Nurse interrupts with a message that Juliet's mother wishes to speak to her. Romeo asks the Nurse who Juliet is and, to his horror, learns that she is a Capulet.
