- Hi! I am Dany. I am a 47 woman and I am very concerned about environmental issues and climate change.
- I am a sailor and I developped a particular connection with oceans. I had the chance to sail on many seas and oceans over the past 20 years.
- I had also the chance to hike in some spectacular areas around the globe. From years to years, my own impacts on climate change and the ones I noticed from others became more and more unacceptable to me.
- From what I have seen, from what I have read and learned, I have no doubt that not only Earth is in danger but many living species are.
- It makes me feel so sad and alone! I am upset because I have identified that it becomes urgent to act. I cannot stand to do nothing and to let a worst world to my daughter.
- I have first reduced my car mileage. I stopped eating meat. I started to collect cigarette butts everywhere I was walking. I reduced the quantity of things I was buying. I try to make my part. I am afraid it is not enough and that things are too slow to make it happen. Frustration and fear arose!
- After many trials with different NGOs I felt discouraged and I had a very bad feeling of helplessness . One-off actions had produced some results but not sustainable ones.
- Hi, Amy, what are you doing today?
- I am collecting cigarette butts. I started 2 hours ago and I have already found 245 of them.
- Amy, aren't you fed up with those one shot actions ?
