- On Lily’s nineteenth birthday, six months after the twin’s sixteenth and seven months after Lily’s eighteenth, the king gathered his children in the grand hall.
- Lily, my darling daughter, you are becoming old and must marry before your twentieth year, as must your sisters. I am bringing the finest prince’s and noble’s to match them with my daughters.
- No word could change their father’s mind. So, two weeks later three young men entered the castle, in hopes of gaining a princess.The first was a prince, about to become a king, the second was a young, rich, noble, general of the king, the last was third in line to the throne of the neighboring kingdom.The princesses watched from a window.
- Suit yourself Cat! We all know why he doesn't love you.
- Both of you stop! We can fix this. We got to stay determined.
- If father really loved us he'd never marry us off!
- Father wants us to marry so we must!
- How is that? We are being sold off! Do I need to spell it out?
- Time to go. Shall we sisters.
