- It is the third Saturday of March, roughly 2 months away from Summer break. Mike is looking at some campgrounds in his dorm hoping to place a reservation
- I think I might book a reservation at Little Grand Canyon in August. I hope I can find someone to go with me
- Hey guys, I'm trying to book a camping trip at Little Grand Canyon in August. I was wondering if you guys would be down to come with
- The next day, Mike reluctantly asks his friends in an iMessage group if they would like to go on the camping trip with him in August, knowing that they'll probably have excuses to not come.
- Yeah dude, just imagine how awkward it would be to shower or cook.
- That doesn't sound very relaxing, don't you think we'll be uncomfortable?
- And NO CELL SERVICE?! That doesn't sound like its for me, I'm sorry man
- Mike arrives at the library the following weekend to participate in the group meeting. He is greeted by a warm welcome from the group.
- Okay... Well what if we had a beach day at the Sand Hollow State Park? We could go swimming and get some sun
- I don't know, that still doesn't sound very relaxing. I'm sorry dude, I just don't think we have the same idea of a relaxing vacation
- Later that day, despite feeling down about what happened with his friends, Mike decides to hop on Tinder. He navigates to the Groups tab and begins browsing groups using the hashtag 'camping'
- After using the app for a few hours, Mike finds a small group with around 10 members called Camping Adventurers. He sees that the group is exclusive to residents of the town that he lives in. He decides to send a message in the group's main chat lounge.
- Hey everybody, I'm Mike. I joined this group because I'm trying to find some people to go camping with.
- That sounds great. I would love to join you guys.
- Hey Mike, welcome to Camping Adventurers. We're actually going to be conducting a group meeting next weekend at our local library if you wanted to join us.
- Hey Mike, welcome to the group. The goal for this meeting is to start planning our annual Summer trip.
- Hey guys, thanks for the invite. I was actually thinking about reserving a site at Little Grand Canyon this August
- Hm, that's a neat idea!
- Yeah, thanks for coming Mike. Do you have any ideas for a Summer outing?
