  • Lets trade some of our stuff.
  • We are running low on cash, so we are going to Canada to get some more income.
  • The French came to Canada and had plans on colonization.
  • We are going to bulid trading forts by Hudson Bay so we can get some money.
  • Okay!!!
  • The French would meet up with the First Nations and end up trading with them using the traditions they use.

  • The British came to Canada to make some money off of the valuable things there.

  • I want this women to know about what the fur trade is about, so she can pass it down to her kids.
  • The British found the First Nations , they only stayed there because they wanted money from furs. They set up their trading forts when they got to the shores of Hudson Bay and made the First Nations come to them.
  • The First Nations got pots, guns, food, and other things from the British.
  • Communication was key in the fur trade. The first nations people were a big reason that the fur trade survived, most of them knew languages so communication was a lot easier. European travelers settled with native women because native women were raised in the fur trade.
