- May 2016, I'm beginning my legal career as an associate for a tier 1 civil litigation firm. I have some feelings of inadequacy but I am up for the challenge.

- Hello, I am Ms. Attorney. Before we begin to discuss why you are here today lets go to a more private area of the office. Okay?
- No thank you.
- Please have a seat, is there anything I can get you to drink before we begin?
- Now Mr. and Mrs. Smith I want to thank you both for being here today. As I stated over the phone this is a free consultation. Whether you decide to bring me on as your attorney or not, everything you say here is confidential. Ok?
- Thank you so much Ms. Attorney for the information and listening to us today. We will get those documents over to you by Friday. We look forward to hearing from you as well.
- My pleasure Mr. & Mrs. Smith. If there is anything you need, do not hesitate to call me.
- Dear Mr. & Mrs. Smith, It was a pleasure meeting you both this morning. I assure you both that I will do everything in my power to assist you. I have mailed the documents that we discussed this morning. Please review them and let me know if you have any questions. Once you have completed them, please mail them back to me in the provided stamped envelope. Respectfully, Ms. Attorney
- Dear Senior Partner, I have met with Mr. & Mrs. Smith and received their retainer along with the client agreement. Attached to this email is the opinion letter I have prepared for them on how we should go about handling their case as quickly as possible. I've also provided for you a memo. Please let me know your thoughts before I move forward. Respectfully, Ms. Attorney
- Hello Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I wanted to follow up with you with regard to your case. It's only been a few days but I wanted to make sure you know where we are with everything….

- Jackie: Ms. Attorney thank you so much for the information and recommendations. Ms. Attorney: No problem, the managing attorney from the clinic will be in touch with you on Monday. You have her card if there is anything you need ok? Jackie: Ok, thanks again. You were a lot of help.
- Ms. Attorney: Good morning Elizabeth. Did you received a request for settlement in the Smith matter? Elizabeth: Hi Ms. Attorney, I have not but if I do I will be sure to let you know. Ms. Attorney: Thank you. I have a feeling there will be one coming our way soon.
- It's been 6 months since I began working with the Smith's. From the moment they walked in my door they expressed that they wanted their issues resolved without spending a lot of money and time. They also expressed that if they did not have to go to court that would be even better….
- Ms. Attorney: Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I received a settlement offer from your opposing counsel. The offer is not exactly what you hoped for but it is sure to cover your damages and then some. You are not obligated to accept it…. Mr. Smith: Ms. Attorney, all we want is to be paid for our loss.My wife and I are happy with this and would like to just move forward. You've been amazing and we couldn't have asked for someone better.
