- Gatsby has dismissed all of his servants and replaced them with new ones
- George Wilson talks to Tom
- I've been here to long, I want to get away. My wife and I want to go West.
- What do you want all of the money for
- Tom is annoyed at Gatsby because he just found out that Gatsby has been cheating with Daisey. Tom, Nick, and Jordan later need to stop for gas.

- Your wife doesn't love you , she never loved you
- Tom sells Wilson a car so Wilson doesn't get suspicious about Tom having an affair with Myrtle

- Not the day I carried you down from the Punch Bowl to keep your shoes dry
- Wilson just learned the secret life of Myrtle, although the identity of Myrtle's lover is yet unknown to him and Wilson is wanting to go west with Myrtle
- He confronts Gatsby about his love for Daisy. Gatsby, refusing to be intimidated, tells Tom "Your wife doesn't love you, she's never loved you. She loves me."
- Tom, in disbelief, turns to Daisy for confirmation.
