George and Lennie stayed by the river instead of going to work at the ranch. They stayed there talking about their dreams of their own farm, and Lennie wished that there were lots of rabbits on the farm.
George and Lennie both arrive at the ranch. While there, they met their boss, and he was angry with them because they were late. Curley instantly disliked Lennie. They then learned about Crooks, and George is was worried about how Lennie would react to Curley's wife.
I am going to kill Lennie.
Carlson shot Candy's dog. There was a fight between Lennie and Curley. Slim created a "cover up" story. George and Lennie agreed to let Candy in on their dream.
Crooks lets Lennie in his room, and then they spoke about their dream farm. Shortly after Candy joined them, and soon Curley's wife arrived. She then threatened to can George and Lennie and for Crook to get hung. At the end, George came in and is upset with Lennie for talking to Crooks.
Lennie accidentally killed his puppy. Lennie and Curley's wife then had a chat. Lennie accidentally killed her as well and her body was later discovered. Curley then left to find Lennie but Lennie had already ran away. George then stole Carlson's gun, and left to find Lennie.
It would be nice to have our own farm with lots of rabbits.
Lennie was having hallucinations because he knew he had done something wrong. George eventually found Lennie and they talk about their dream farm and the rabbits. George tried to make Lennie focus on the dream so it could put him at ease. George then used Carlson's gun to shoot Lennie in the back of his head. The killing was parallel to the shooting of Candy's dog.
