- Physical Appearance:Katniss Everdeen has black straight hair, grey colored irises, as well as olive colored skin.
- Motivation:Katniss Everdeen is motivated to participate in the hunger games to help her beloved sister, and what helps her through the tough times is promising to come back for her sister.
- Relationships:Her beloved family, a good friend Gale, and giving baker named Peeta.
- Traits:Katniss Everdeen shows great courage in saving her loved ones, problem solving in dire situations, and smarts to beat competions.
- Peeta Mellark
- Physical Appearance:Peeta is described as a very tough and well built man, blond hair, as well as broad shouldered.
- Motivation:Peeta throughout the hunger games, lives through compassion. Although it's written to be confusing, he goes through great danger, yet is motivated by being able to help people like Katniss.
- Relationships:He seems to show interested in Katniss, as portrayed in the book.
- Traits:Peeta is portrayed as kind and giving, even suffering to help others. He seems very trustworthy, even though Katniss and Peeta were to fight in the end, Katniss couldn't help trusting him
- Haymitch Abernathy
- Physical Appearance:Described as a scruffy old man.
- Traits:A drunk, a lazy perverted old man. Though even with those traits, he's able to at least help District Twelve with the hunger games.
- Motivations:He's motivated by the reward of winning the hunger games. He would achieve higher standing which would allow him to get more liquor
- Relationships: Haymitch promised to help Peeta and Katniss in the hunger games, doing a surprisingly good job at it, giving correct advice, and giving crucial resources when needed.
