- Rhea Silva had two twins their names were Romulus and Remes. Their mom's uncle was ordered for them to be killed. Rhea put her babies in a basket and sent them down stream hoping somebody would find them and care for them.

- Who should be king? Let's look for a sign from the gods.
- Remes and Romulus were found by a she - wolf who cared for them. The she - wolf could not care for them no longer. So she sent them to a shephard.

- Romulus and Remes found out that they were sons of Mars the God of war. So they decided to free their mom.

- So they watched for a sign from the Gods. They both saw signs. Remes saw signs first so Romulus thought that Remes going to win. So Romulus killed his brother and named the city Rome.
- Historians think that Latins lived in the area of Rome near 1000 .B.C.. They joined each other for protection. Then the city was known as Rome.
