- What is aunt Alexandra doing here?
- Sir, we just came back from Calpurnia's church.
- You may not.
- She promised me I could come to her house some afternoon. I'll go next Sunday if its all right, can I?
- When Calpurnia, Scout, and Jem returned from church they were surprised to see Aunt Alexandra siting on their porch.
- I didn't ask you!
- Scout and Jem tell Atticus in detail about their trip to church with Calpurnia.

- Apologize to your Aunt.
- Scout asked Atticus if they could go next Sunday too. While Atticus seemed to enjoy it, Aunt Alexandra disapproved.
- You've got to do something about her, You've let things go on too long. We don't need her anymore.
- Scout snapped at Aunt Alexandra for denying her permission to go with Calpurnia.

- Scout was raging, she threatened to kill Jem and since he was sitting on the bed it was easy to grab his hair. They started slapping each other left and right.

- Dill explained that he ran away from home and why he did. Jem then snitched on him and Atticus came in to their room.
- Atticus asked Dill what he was doing here and Dill was afraid that he would send him back, but instead he stayed the night with them.
