- Joseph, don't be afraid to take Mary as your wife. The baby in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son. You will name the son, Jesus. Give him that name because he will save his people from their sins.
- I will do and follow what the angel of the Lord has commanded me. I will take Mary as my wife. I will also give the name, Jesus to our son.
- In this story, St. Joseph has showed the virtue of meekness by obeying God and the angel humbly. After what he heard from the angel, he followed God's will without doubt and questions.
