- A Long Time Ago, in Crete Lived a king named minos. He was very powerful and mean.He Built a giant maze and kept a terrifying creature,The Minotaur at the center of the maze
- Now and then,he would send his navy to the tiny village of Athens and attacked them,So the king of Athens offered a deal,Every Year Athens send 7 boys and 7 girls to the island of Crete to be eaten by the awful monsters
- Prince Theseus of Athens knew this was wrong and told his father he was going#160; to Crete as the seventh son of Athens. His Father begged him not to go But along the others Athenians he sailed towards the Crete
- When they arrived at the island Princess Ariadne came out to greet them and felt in love with Prince Theseus. She decided to help by giving him a sword to kill the Minotaur and a string to guide his way back to the outside of the maze. The only thing she asked inreturn is that Prince Theseus took her with him.
- Theseus followed Ariadne’s advice tight the string to the door. Then found the Minotaur and killed him. He then guided his way back and left the island along with the other Athenians and Princess Ariadne. They then stopped to get provisions on another island were Ariadne got bored and felt asleep.#160;Theseus didn’t want to get married to Ariadne. So, he left the island leaving Ariadne behind.
