  • The Ordinary World
  • Instead of real parents, I have to deal with my cruel, stone-hearted foster parents, Lisa and Tony. All they care about is their jobs and work and could care less about me.
  • The Ordinary World
  • Rocky never insults me, no matter how enraged I am, and he's the only living organism that makes me smile every day.
  • Brittany and her two goons, Mackenzie and Rebecca, taunt me about having no real parents and make me feel like an introvert.
  • The Ordinary World
  • The Ordinary World

  • The Call to Adventure
  • What an idiot!
  • LOSER!
  • How stupid is she!
  • The Call to Adventure
  • I wonder where my parents are? Are they even alive? Why did they leave me? What happened after those nine years?
  • The Call to Adventure
  • Sorry, honey. We just ran out of food, that's all.
  • Is this Rocky's food?
  • The Refusal of the Call
  • If I run away, will everyone at school think of me as a coward? What would Luke think? Besides, I can't escape my foster parents anyway. And leave Rocky behind? No, that's too cruel.
  • The Meeting with the Mentor
  • I remember a girl and a boy that would always come to Green Stone Park to buy my hot dogs, back when I was a hot dog vendor over in the park. Oh, how sweet they were!
  • The Meeting with the Mentor
  • Oh, really? Wow!
  • Megan Jones is an average 17 year old teenager who lives in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents disappeared when she was just nine years old. Ever since, she has been living a depressed and secluded life.
  • Crossing the First Threshold (Departure)
  • The only real friend Megan has is her bulldog Rocky. He's always in a happy mood for her no matter what mood she happens to be in.
  • Crossing the First Threshold (Departure)
  • Megan attends East Side Prep for high school. She roams a similar, isolated school life as she does at home. Megan has no real friends at school, and because of this, she is bullied and mocked very harshly.
  • The Road of Trials
  • What if Green Stone Park doesn't even exist? Everyone seems to think I'm crazy around here!
  • Ever since Megan went to East Side Prep, she's had a crush on a boy named Luke Walker. Whenever she catches sight of him, it's always so hard for her to tear her eyes away from him.
  • The Road of Trials
  • The next Monday, when Megan went to the cafeteria for lunch at school, Brittany tripped her into Mackenzie and Rebecca. Megan's lunch tray splattered on her head, with mashed potatoes and gravy all over her! Everyone, including Luke, was laughing at her idiocy.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Megan hates school and is sick of being bullied. After the Brittany incident, she can't handle high school anymore. She knows all she wants to do is leave Chicago, and run away. After coming home to her monster-like foster parents every day, she begins to question where her real parents are and what happened to them.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Oh, sweetie, I know just where to guide you!
  • Megan wants her parents now more than ever. Her foster parents have now starved her to death! She is desperate to run away and never return.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Megan is doubting whether she should even wonder about her real parents. She's afraid to even run away from school and her foster parents, and doesn't want to leave Rocky behind.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Megan decides to ride her bike around town to get her mind off her worries. As she bikes, she comes across a street called Meadow Falls. Since it seemed quite familiar somehow, she turned on the street. Then, she notices an old man staring at her like a stalker as she bikes down the street.
  • The Road of Trials
  • The man suddenly calls to Megan to come in his house, since he just made fresh lemonade. He introduces himself as Uncle Jim. Megan was skeptical, at first, but decided to trust the man. He really wasn't a stalker at all, and Megan found herself having a good time with him, drinking his zesty lemonade.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Megan had a feeling by the way Uncle Jim described them, the boy and the girl in Green Stone Park were her parents. She remembered their love for hot dogs up until she was nine years old and they had vanished.
  • Megan researched more about Green Stone Park, and found out it was a beautiful park with waterfalls in California. She packed up her supplies and stole her parents' money to book a plane ticket to a city near the park, Glenfield. Although she was sad to leave her beloved Rocky behind, Megan knew this was her destiny and she had to accomplish this quest first.
  • Megan finally reached Glenfield safely, with all the supplies she packed. She had been on a bus for hours, searching for Green Stone Park. Though Megan knew it was a park in California, it seemed concealed on the map in front of her. She had tried everything, from searching the internet, to asking other natives, but no one knew anything about the park.
  • Then, when the bus halted at the next stop, throngs of people filled the bus, and there was no room to sit. Megan had to share a seat with another teenage boy named Hunter, who seemed fairly kind. He was genuinely concerned with her work and offered his help.
  • I'm trying to find a certain park around the block. Do you know where Green Stone Park is?
  • What's going on? I can help you over here.
  • Hunter explained how he had a nice friend at the common museum who he thought could help Megan find Green Stone Park.
  • I know a warm, elderly woman who can surely help us find the park. She works at the common museum.
  • However, when Megan and Hunter reached the museum, Hunter had to abruptly use the restroom. Megan found herself alone with the old woman, who seemed very eerie to her.
  • Th..th..th..thanks?
  • The old lady led Megan straight into a room full of peculiar artifacts. As Megan bent to examine them, she suddenly felt cold hands grip her neck, choking her. Megan kicked the old lady with all her strength and ran as fast as she could.
  • Oh this will make a lovely new artifact for the museum, sweetie!
  • Hunter apologized for the mistake claiming he had "no idea" about the old woman's true colors. Then both Megan and Hunter climbed on the bus. As the bus stopped by a church, Hunter dragged Megan out, begging her to go in to stay "religious."
  • What if Hunter was trying to get me killed? Should I trust him?
  • What's Megan thinking about? She should be going inside to pray already!
  • Megan examines the church door, as there seems to be an odd piece sticking out. As Hunter goes inside the church, Megan sees him elbow it in ever so slightly.
  • Megan pulls out the piece of metal after Hunter goes inside. As she turns it over, she sees numbers ticking off, reading one minute. After watching so many movies, Megan realizes what is happening.
  • The Road of Trials
  • The Approach to the Inmost Cave
  • Hunter led me straight to the church where I'm sure he hid the bomb. Why else did he try to hide it while going in? However, he must know something about my parents, so I'll stick around and see what happens.
  • The Ordeal
  • The Ordeal
  • The Ordeal
  • What a fool, Megan Jones! Did you ever wonder why the old lady tried to choke you? Did you ever wonder why there was a bomb planted in that church I led you straight to?
  • The Ordeal
  • Oh, Miss Jones, the fun doesn't stop here. Once I capture you, I plan to capture everyone else in this family related to your parents who dared to hurt my father. He DIED because of them! Then, I can easily use my allies to bring me to power and let me rule the world!
  • The Ordeal
  • The Ordeal
  • I'm ready for you HUNTER!
  • You lied to us, evil bastard! You tricked us into thinking you were helping treat cancer!
  • The Ordeal
  • The Ordeal
  • Megan suddenly realized there is a bomb in the church, as kids were running haywire! She pulls Hunter out of the church, and they barely make it back to the bus safely.
  • The Reward/Treasure
  • Megan begins to feel like Hunter is somehow helping her reach her parents, since she has a gut feeling she is getting closer to them through him. However, she still feels like Hunter can't be trusted. But in the end, she decides to stay true to him and let the events unfold.
  • The Road Back
  • Megan finally cracked it. She figured out where Green Stone Park was, from tons of researching. It was found on a small little known website, which took days to find. Hunter and Megan took the bus to the park, and now searched the place for Megan's parents.
  • The Road Back
  • Did you hear? Our poor old Uncle Jim back in Meadow Falls died from a heart attack!
  • Suddenly, all the citizens in the park gather around Hunter. They grab their weapons and aim them at Megan.
  • The Road Back
  • Hunter cackles viciously. He explains his plan to "take over the world" to Megan, laughing at how foolish she was to believe he wanted to help her find her parents.
  • The Resurrection
  • Hunter explains more about his life to Megan.
  • The Return with the Elixir
  • Suddenly, Hunter's "allies" (aka the citizens in the park), start shifting to protect Megan as Hunter cocks out a gun to injure her.
  • Hunter's "allies" yell at Hunter for hoodwinking them into thinking he was capturing citizens to "test them for cancer". Megan, after hearing how evil Hunter was, was ready to take him on, along with the park citizens.
  • Hunter was no match for Megan and the park citizens. Megan delivered punch after punch like a karate kid, while the park citizens burned him and impaled him with their torches and tridents. Hunter was left begging for mercy.
  • As the park citizens knew Hunter's secrets, it wasn't hard to capture him. Together, Megan and the citizens managed to trap Hunter underground where many other jail cells lay.
  • Megan finally found her parents in one of the jail cells and hugged them. She even realized she had a younger brother, Caleb as well, which gave her an overwhelming feeling of love.
  • Megan's parents explained to her how they had been bad kids when they were little and had truly bullied Hunter's father, as Megan paid for a bus ticket. They were so emotional to know that he committed suicide because of them. However, now they've changed and reformed, and know that Hunter's revenge plan is going way too far.
  • Hunter did tell us he had to live as an orphan his whole life. So, I personally think since he didn't have any love or care when growing up, he has so much anger built up inside him.
  • Megan, we were bad kids. We bullied Hunter's father when he was young, and because of the circumstances, now we've changed. But Hunter definitely has so much anger and revenge put out for us.
  • Megan suddenly got the news from a common man, saying that Uncle Jim died from a heart attack.
  • UNCLE JIM!!!!!!
  • I loved him like a father!
  • Megan had never felt this sad. She realized this was her hardest journey yet. She had changed quite emotionally, and discovered what love was. Now, only after barely meeting Uncle Jim, she began to feel love's pain.
  • Uncle Jim welcomed me like my own dad!
  • Megan's parents consoled her and seemingly brought her back to life. They helped her understand that Uncle Jim's death was inevitable, since he was already a very old man.
  • Honey, you're experiencing love's true pain. It's okay. Uncle Jim's death was unstoppable.
  • Megan, unafraid of anyone anymore, after dealing with Hunter, sneaked Rocky away from her foster parents' house. Since, her parents had bought a house near their neighborhood, she figured it was a good idea. Then, Megan and her family settled down in their new home and lived happily together.
