- To Colonel Lloyd
- No, sir.
- Well, does the Colonel treat you well?
- Yes, sir.
- What, does he work you too hard?
- Colonel Lloyd approaches a black man on the road.
- I came across one of the slaves that you oversee the other day and had a bad experience.#160;
- Oh no! What happened?
- I asked him about the conditions of work and he said they were bad. Please sort this out.
- Lloyd sees the slave and since he has so many slaves he does not know who this particular slave belongs to. He decides to ask him.
- This cannot happen in front of Lloyd. I must sell this slave.
- Seeing that the slave does not know he is talking to his master, Lloyd decides it's a good idea to ask the slave questions about how he feels about his master.

- The overseer decides to sell the slave to a Georgia trader.#160;
- The slave gets sold.
