- Once Gene realizes the severity of what he has done he goes to the hospital to confess. The doctor however, interrupts him and he leaves feeling the pressure of his act.

- After Gene intentionally caused the accident he tried to apologize however Finny will not accept the truth causing Gene more guilt.
