The Germans are losing. Help us spy on them.

Georg is captured by the Russians and taken to a prison camp. He and many others get sick from the unsanitary conditions. Many die.

Georg has been receiving special treatment from his Russian captors without knowing why until they ask him to be a spy. His first assignment was to discover any patients that were Nazi party members.

Georg had eliminated all possible suspects except his friend Oskar. Georg knows that he is a party member but decides to let him go. The war ended soon after and Georg's spying days were over.

When Georg discovers suitcases full of stolen money and a plot made by other prisoners to get rich, he ratted them out.
As a reward, Georg got to go home early, even though Germans weren't supposed to leave yet.
When he arrived in Vienna, Georg had to walk across town to reach his house. For the entire walk he was thinking about his family and if they were safe.
