- England fought over control of the colonies and the Ohio River Valley. The French and Indian War cost England alot of money. England won.

- The British Imperial Policy is how England kept control over the colonists. The British Imperial Policy includes the Stamp Act,Sugar Act,and the Townshend Act. A famous quote is "No taxation without representation."
- Battle of Lexington and Concord(1775)
- The Boston Massacre started because the colonists protested and boycotted British goods. The Boston Massacre was a fight that broke out between the colonists and the Red Coats because the colonists were throwing insults and snowballs at them.5 colonists were killed.
- Valley Forge (1777)
- The Boston Tea Party was a response for the tea tax. The sons of liberty disguised as Indians and boarded ships full of tea. The colonists dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.
- No one knows who fired the first shot in the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The Patriots won. The significance of the Battle of Lexington and Concord is that it marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
