- Tom's cheating on Daisy with someone named Myrtle!
- Well this is awkward...
- Daisy! Daisy! Daisy!
- The Names Jay Gatsby Old' Sport! I'm an Oxford Man, and served in the war!
- Nick Carawayhas recently moved east. He visits his rich cousin Daisy, and her husband, Tom Buchanan, for dinner. While at dinner, he finds out Tom is cheating on Daisy.
- Later, Tom drags Nick to the Valley of the Ashes to meet his mistress. The party is very awkward. At one point Tom hits Myrtle!
- Oh no!!! Gatsby, will you please take the fall for this?!
- Nick lives next door to a mysterious man, Jay Gatsby, who invites him over for a party. Later, Nick learns Gatsby has been in love with Daisy for years. There are a lot of mysterious rumors about this man!
- Nick helps Gatsby set up a chance meeting with Daisy. Gatsby tries to make Nick's place more acceptable with flowers... a lot of them. They seem to rekindle their love
- After a night out on the town with everyone, Daisy confesses that she will never leave Tom. Daisy drives herself and Gatsby back to East Egg, but is very upset. She then accidentally runs Myrtle over with Gatsby's car.
- In the end, Gatsby takes responsibility, and is shot by Myrtle's husband in revenge. George commits suicide after committing such a horrendous act. Daisy and Tom move away as if nothing has happened. Nick returns home shocked at the awful summer.
