Did you hear the news earlier? It said they're gonna ban a single-use plastic. I wanna know what's your thoughts about that.
Well yeah we heard it.
Oh, I wanna know to your opinion on it.
OK, THAT WAS MY POINT EXACTLY!
Burden should be on the manufacturer's/importer's/ retailers to offer green alternative's.
Yeah I agree, not consumer's. Corporations can afford it. We can't.
Everyone is focusing on the bag problem but my main point was that these green initiatives only inconvenience the consumer and don't make any difference.
Yeah, Think how fast they'd change if we taxed them 2% of profits, if they didn't offer green alternatives with the $ going to plastic-alternative.
Yes, There an alternative for almost everything and there is sometimes people aren't aware or don't want to pay for the sometimes more costly (initially) alternative.
Yeah but at least we should limit for using a plastic so we'll be able to help our environment.
Why do you think a single- use plastic should be banned? It's like everything we see in this world are made of plastic.
Yeah exactly, if everyone will cooperate we'll be able to save our friendly animals in the ocean.
Yeah, compostable plastic bags exist.
I buy compostable plastic bags at the dollar store for my trash bins. You could also just go bag less and dump the bins into the larger garbage bins.
Yes they're great except if you throw any food waste into them.
Nothing to worry about that but if we just separate all the trash according to biodegradable or non-biodegradable and also for recycle that's a big help.
Huh? I have a small bucket with a compostable bag for food waste in my kitchen. I fill it and put it in my compost bin. Work's great. What's the issue?
I was just thinking about we're food waste is okay with compostable plastic bags. Yeah I do that separating trash and I hope everyone's gonna do that too especially those new generations.
