- What about locums?
- Rosana is stressed and unsatisfied with her job as a pediatrician
- Ok!
- Locums are great. Work with a recruiter or find jobs directly w/ company.
- She wants to travel and have freedom and not be as stressed with work. But how?
- She heard about locums before, maybe that's worth investigating.
- For how long?
- What areas of the country do you want to work?
- She researches how locums work and talks to friends who've done them.
- Rosana contacts recruiters on web forms and posts her resume on locum sites.
- Want it?
- She's contacted by recruiters asking what type of work.
- Awesome Recruiter Application - Lots of questions about you - 3 references
- Minimum pay you want?
- Inpatient? Clinic? ER?
- Then she's bombarded with e-mails, voicemails and texts about opportunities, but without sharing details upfront. She has to talk to them to find out. Stressful with so much inbound interest.
- Eventually she talks to a recruiter with a good opportunity and agrees to do it.
- Ok!
- Now the credentialing with recruiter begins. Rosana has to send him a lot of stuff starting with applicaion.
- She sounds great, let's grab her!
- I have an amazing pediatrician for your locum opening.
- NY State DEA Application 1............. 2............ 3............

- I need lots of stuff from you.
- Recruiter presents Rosana to the hospital for the opening and they are interested.
- Now I need hospital credentials. Sign these contracts, re-answer these questions, and these hospital items
- The recruiter starts the process to get Rosana her DEA and state license for the locum in the new state.
- Did she really do circs?
- Recruiter tells Rosana he needs files for licenses, fingerprints, passport, notarized docs, ect. Some things she already gave him.
- Ok but I already gave you several of these, don't you have them?
- Now recruiter asks for info for hospital credentialing, some things Rosana already gave him again.
- I already answered these 3 questions but ok.
- The hospital calls Rosana's references who are getting annoyed with all these calls.
- Yes!
- Congrats, Rosana officially have the job! All credentialing was cleared and licenses granted.
- Rosana finalizes her work schedule with the hospital
- Rosana starts booking flights, hotel, car for job and filing reimbursements with recruiter
- Rosana arrives her first day for orientation and ID badges, meets the staff.
- Rosana doesn't have all the answers and references so she takes time to gather this.
- She also adds these answers and references to a google drive document for next time.
- The recruiter then asks for documents to verify.
- She takes a lot of time gathering all these documents which she then adds to her evernote and emails to recruiter.
- Recruiter says XXX isnt complete.
- Rosana goes back and completes this and sends.
- Recruiter calls up Rosana's references to verify information.
- Yes.
- Did she really do circs?
