Storyboard Text

  • FIRST STAGE: NEBULAE
  • All Stars begin from clouds of dust called nebulae. This birthplace of stars are made of hydrogen gas and dust.
  • SECOND STAGE: PROTOSTARS
  • The nebula forms a ball of gas and dust pulled together by gravity. As the gas cloud gets denser nuclear fusion occurs.
  • THIRD STAGE: MAIN SEQUENCE
  • A star's duration on the Main Sequence is the longest and calmest phase in its life.
  • FOURTH STAGE: RED GIANT
  • The Red Giant stage is the end of a star's life, the temperature near the core rises and this causes the size of the star to expand.
  • FIFTH STAGE: WHITE DWARF
  • SIXTH STAGE: BLACK DWARF
  • The black dwarf is created when a white dwarf star becomes too cool then it can no longer create large amounts of heat and light. The star will dim and become black.
  • The white dwarf stage is the end result of the death of a star.
