I am David Lloyd George from Great Britain

David Lloyd George wanted Germany to be punished, but not

punished severely, because Britain had experienced little land damage, but lots of war losses. He wanted to make Germany pay, but to make sure they could still trade and be strong enough. He wanted land for Britain’s empire and safety for the Navy in Britain.

I am Georges Clemenceau from Paris

Clemenceau’s aims were theharshest of the three, because of the damage Germany had done to France’s landand people. He wanted to punish Germany, to re-gain land that Germany had takenfrom France. He did not want a league of nations but did want the Germans topay for all the damage they had caused. He wanted the German army to be restricted so that they wouldn’t be strong enough to attack France again.

Treaty of Versailles

Sign___

When the Treaty of Versailles was ready, Germany was shownthe document, however there was no negotiation, and they were forced to say yes to it and sign it. On the 28th of June 1919, the men met in the Palace of Versailles again, with two German representatives, and forced the Germans to sign it.
