- Hoshi Brighton had a normal life with his single mother Tsuki. He was born with a star birthmark, which gave him his name, which means star in Japanese. This made his mother believe that he was a sign of good prophecy.

- Hoshi was having a good life until his mother suddenly got ill and passed away when Hoshi was 18. This left him with no relatives and has forced him to work at the local library's cafe while struggling to live in a motel.
- Everyday at 11-9pm Hoshi and his fellow co-worker, Carly, would go to work everyday and tries to make the best of their days working. Most of it was boring or exhausting until one fateful day.

- I just noticed that too! We have to tell our boss about this since it's been happening.
- One day, the two noticed that the valuables in the cafe has been stolen for a couple weeks which slowly progressed as the days passed.
- Carly, someone has been stealing our money and supplies!
- After reporting the incident, their boss has forced Hoshi to find out who was responsible for these crimes since they failed to report the robbery earlier.
- Hoshi and Carly were super anxious, since they had no idea what to do so they spent the whole night thinking about their mission.
