Cassius suggests that he's going to kill himself if the assassination doesn't as planned. The ides of March are about to show up soon so Cassius, Casca, and Brutus begin to plan. "Cassius- Casca, be sudden, for we fear prevention. --- Brutus, what shall be done? If this is known, Cassius or Caesar never shall turn back, for I will slay myself." This quote from the story shows how dedicated Cassius is to this assassination of theirs to kill Caesar.
Portia begins to worry about Brutus to the point where she gets on her knees and begs for him to explain what is going on with his current behavior. "Brutus- Why so I do. Good Portia, go to bed. Portia- Is Brutus sick? And is it physical to walk unbraced and suck up the humor of the dark morning? No, my Brutus, you have some sick offense within your mind, which by the right and virtue of my place I ought to know of -She'd kneel- And on my knees." This action of Portia shows her loyalty to her husband. She'd go as far as to begging him and hurting herself to get the truth out of him.
Cassius begins to manipulate Brutus by sending him praising letters from the people of Rome, he gave them to Brutus so he could convince him to kill Caesar. "Cinna- Yes you are. O Cassius, if you could but win the noble Brutus to our party.. -Cassius hands him papers- Be your consent. Good Cinna, take this paper and look you lay it in Praetor's chair, Where Brutus may but find it." This textbase evidence concludes that Cassius is very self-centered and ignorant.
