- This story is about William Charles and how he is fighting in the Battle of Britain while trying to stay in touch with his wife, Evelyn Charles. Evelyn Charles and Will live in Victoria, British Columbia before Will had to enlist in the war to help Britain defeat Germany.
- Will told Evelyn that he has to go as Canada is recruiting as many soldiers as many soldiers as they can. Evelyn starts crying.
- Okay, Just be careful out there
- I have to go right now, Evelyn. Our country needs me.
- Will had no choice but to leave Evelyn and the baby as he is commanding officer, in the RCAF no.1 Squadron against the German air force (Luftwaffe). He would have to leave Canada and go to England to stop Germany from invading and taking over England.
- Will gets to the base in England at the Squadron and begin to give out his order to make a defensive plan against the attacking of air raids from the German air forces.
- I need you to pay attention to every word I say because your country is depending on you!
- Yes sir! I will go call headquarters right now, sir!
- Yes sir! We will head out, sir!
