- Terrible! I don't understand any of it. We have to write about the types of energy.
- Sarah is struggling with her homework. Her brother, Michael, walks in on her.
- Michael decides help Sarah with her homework.
- "There are seven types of energy. A good way to remember them is the acronym: Mrs Chen"
- "The first type is mechanical energy. Mechanical energy is the motion of large matter, like car tires moving down the street."

- "The second type is radiant energy. Radiant energy are bundles of protons like sunlight."
- "There is also sound energy which is the ordered periodic motion of particles. Just like the sound from your headphones."
- "Chemical energy is the arrangement of small particles, like a flashlight battery."
- "Oh I know this one! Heat energy is the random motion of small particles!"
- "And electrical energy is the movement of electrons like a current moving through a wire."
- Thanks, what do non-renewable and renewable sources' mean?
- "And last, but not least, there's nuclear energy which is the structure of an atoms nucleus."
- "And don't forget the law of thermodynamics; energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred."
- "Renewable sources are things like air and wood, non-renewable sources are coal and natural oils."
