Storyboard Text

  • I completed reading Merchant of Venice yesterday , I found it really interesting ..
  • The morals that his works display are so relevant with audience of every generation , also his works display a certain mystery that make his works interesting for all after all who doesn't like suspense and mystery ?
  • PRESENT DAY
  • KATE AND MARY ARE TALKING ON A STREET IN BELGIUM .
  • oh , is it , why is it that Shakespeare continues to be relevant to a contemporary audience ?
  • His famous lines have become our phrases , idioms and cliches like waiting "with bated breath" from Merchant Of Venice , thus no matter how old his works become or whether we understand or how old that century's English may be we still read , enjoy and relate to his works . Hope you got your answer Mary .
  • Nice question Mary , the answer to your question is that Shakespeare's plays explore human emotions like love , betrayal , jealousy , etc . and human emotions remain the same throughout generations to come .
  • Thank you for this answer Kate , I am surely reading Merchant Of Venice and other works of Shakespeare especially after your explanation .
  • Also , his plays deal with situations/problems that many people face today too , like in Hamlet , we prefer disappearing than facing our problems , and thus we relate with his stories and characters even today .
  • Me too , even I lost the track of time , anyways I really enjoyed talking with you today , Bye , see you soon ......
  • I got so engrossed in talking with you that I lost the track of time , I need to leave now . Bye , see you soon .....
